Can i take British gas to court?

We haven't received any of the support vouchers that everyone is meant to receive, i have contacted British gas via online chat and i was told that it was a post office issue, and they were sorry that we have not received them, and they would look into it. They then came back to me and said they would be received as they will be sent out, although they could not see the details on this as they have no visibility, i then contacted my local MP who wrote to BG, they eventually responded to them and said this below, now Martin Lewis has said that the post office do not send out any vouchers and the post office staff themselves have said that the utility company sends out the voucher via letter and they can be redeemed in the shop. Surely i can take them to task legally now as this is getting beyond a joke.

I am sorry to hear Mr T****** has not yet received their energy voucher.

Further to our recent email on behalf of your constituent, we were disappointed to note they have not yet received their Energy Bill Support Scheme vouchers and we've been looking into this for them.

Whilst we sent all of our prepayment files to the Post Office to process send out the vouchers and they should have arrived on time, unfortunately the Post Office failed to process a small number of files. This is unfortunately a Post Office error.

We have identified this issue and have asked the Post Office to process and send out the vouchers as soon as possible. We expect the vouchers to be with any customers impacted by Tuesday 6th December.

I would like to apologise again for these delays, the issue has been identified and the delays will not impact the delivery of the voucher for December. If your constituent needs any immediate support in the meantime, we have support available through our British Gas Energy Trust.

Given timescales for legal action, and all the pre-action requirements I suggest opening a formal complaint first, then going to the ombudsman if necessary.

The scheme seems a shambles, I don't see why they couldn't just send a payment instead of these vouchers.
