Arc Europe debt collector for credit card debt Empty Arc Europe debt collector for credit card debt

Post by Scarlet Tiger Thu Jan 02, 2020 2:20 pm

Hi

I've sent the three letter process to Arc Europe who keep coming even after the estoppel notice.
They claim only to be collecting for Nationwide and not to have purchased the debt.
They include a letter from the Nationwide saying my 'complaint ' has been given a final response
and that it is still outstanding.
Do I just send them a bill now as they have sent another letter?

Thanks!!

Hi,

Have you been sending the letters for DCAs or for Debt Purchasers? How much is the alleged debt for? DON’T reveal the full amount, just round up to the nearest £1,000.

Don’t worry about final demands etc. Nationwide will eventually sell on...

Hi

Thanks for your reply.
Not sure what DCAs are, I just sent them the standard letters for debt collectors.
Alleged debt around the £4000 mark.

I've used the letters before with the same debt years ago, then this.
Nationwide used a different collector back then.
These lot are saying they haven't bought the debt but are just acting
on Nationwides behalf.

DCA: Debt Collection Agency. The letters for DCAs are different to the letters for Debt Purchasers.

It’s important you select the correct letters:

And as you say, it’s just another collector so use the following letters:

Hi,

The credit card account was opened in April 2013.
Last payment made was February 2016.

Thanks for the reply.

Hi,

That's great thanks.
Whats the OC in brackets stand for? 'Claiming that I owe a debt to xxxxx(OC) '
Also, do I send two notices, one to the CEO and a carbon copy to the contact name?

Thank you again!

OC is original creditor ,that will be Nationwide.

Just the CEO is fine or whoever has been contacting you .One letter is all you need .remember to
send recorded delivery or at the very least get proof of posting.
