Chinese Food

It is well known that Chinese food products are well below the minimum world standards, yet more and more countries are sourcing foods from China and this includes more and more UK supermarkets and carrots and green vegetables are amongst them, and these poor sub standard foods doesn't end with vegetables.

Many ground grown foods face immediate issues from being grown on sub standard soils and watered with poor quality contaminated water and this comes from waste from industrial or other processes which are unchecked which contaminates the water used to irrigate crops, despite these proven issues the Chinese Government has pledged to deliver a lot of things and failed to deliver, as normal the Chinese Government say one thing to save face, yet do something totlly different or nothing at all. What are the major affected foods? carrots, ginseng, greens, fruit, and anything grown on the ground so basically everything.

It doesn't stop there as China produce a lot of pork and pork is about half the price of beef so they have been caught out adding known carciogens and toxins in the form of chemicals to pig feeds to make pork look like beef and also taste like beef, but it doesn't stop at pork as many meats are fed toxic additives already banned by almost the entire world to make meats taste like more expensive meats, they also add rat, mink and stoat meat to meat products to bulk up its sale weight for export to the UK, USA, and EU countries. Prawns are a large Chinese export and they add gels to these to increase their weight and the gels are of an unknown quantity but testing of these products shows they contain products and chemicals which cause cancer, kidney and liver failuresand in large quantities. What about rice, a staple of China, actually the paddy fields are contaminated with the same contaminated soils and irrigated with the same toxic waste water from industry, but it gets worse as they are using unrecyclable plastics to form a product plastic rice which is added to the already contaminated rice to bulk its weight up. They have been usind old plastic oul and chemical drums and shredding them and adding highly toxic chemicals to remive the dyes from the plastic and adding toxic chemicals to the shredded plastic to dye it white and look like rice. In one test sample they found it had 90% plastic rice and enough toxins to kill anyone eating over 200 grammes of it in one portion.

Grains are not exempt either as they are grown on the same contaminated soils and irrigated with the same contaminated water and processed into other products such as bread and cakes, or exported in the form of bread based products such as Pizza bases or cake bases for use in other countries for them to make their food products such as supermarket pizza where they add their toppings and bake.

Can it get any worse? actually yes as canned foods are found to be using cans soldered with lead solder and lined with lead based products which contain not only the bisphenols we already know about, but over 3 times the maximum lead content maximum levels allowed by the world authorities and a well known brand of peaches are not only sourcing their contaninated peaches from China, but they are also being canned in China in Chinese cans and shipped around the world where this respected manufacturer puts their labels on them.

But the real issues dont end there as many food products are shipped out to other respected food manufacturers to make into their products using these contaminated Chinese ingredients and adding other food products sourced from legitimate sources and producing a completed product, but the labelling is also misleading to cover up their contaminated ingredients as the last part of the manufacturing process is where the food is manufactured is the place of origin which is stamped onto the label.
We can explain this simply, if a French producer of vol-aux-vants buys their prawns from China and uses vol-aux-vant bases produced in China they simply mix the prawns with their sauce and inject it intothe bases, they cook them and although it contains predominantly Chinese contaminated products it is stamped or labeled "Produce of France" and the labelling is legitimate and meets the legal requirements.

Yuck.

This issue goes further as many food processing companies around the world source their ingredients from the global food markets and its all based upon price, I note the German sounding company making an alleged Italian product in Ireland so is it Italian, German, or irish.

Many of the ingredients are getting into the food chain by the back door and your ready meal may say Produce of UK on the label because thats where it was made, but still the ingredients are predominantly contaminated Chinese food products.

Literally food for thought ,
I personally steer clear of "ready" meals and alike ,
But like most folk do buy tinned products especially at the moment putting a lot away ,
But this has made me double check those labels ,
Plus side I haven't eaten rat stoat or mink for 34 yrs

Grow and bottle or can your own and you know exactly where it is from, what additives if any it contains and that your label is accurate.

You can open it with confidence and eat it with even more confidence.
