As per DI, it all boils down to money. They are not going to spend a pound to reclaim a penny... And on that point, most of my satisfaction came from knowing that the respective debt companies I dealt with spent (wasted) a lot of money and got nowhere Smile

Send a notice to Cease and Desist, they have never failed me ,and over
the years i have sent many to many organisations for many reasons.

Tell them ALL contacts must be via Royal Mail.

In my experience the dates on these parasites letters have no relation
to the date they entered the postal system.
I find it good practice to write the date received on their letters.

Just seen this thread ..
My first giggle is always that the date on the
" we bought your debt "
Letter ..
Is the exact same as the date from the alleged original ..
"We sold your debt to "
Letter..
And from there shake our head ..
Why are Lowell in possession of a letter addressed to you that you never received ?
This latest offering is probably some bloke with 2 phones and a jot pad in a spare room ..
Looks like lLowel loosers couldn't even be bothered to inform you that they couldn't be assed ..
Just my opinion ..
🤔😉

I dealt with Opos last year .Red Satan bank passed it to them .
Mail was sent to my former business which i retired from 8 years ago.
I sent them a DSAR & demanded they provide documents showing me
linked to that address,Strangley they failed and i told them i would be
reporting them to the ICO.

Got rid of them with a Cease and Desist notice ,i then received a letter 3
days later to which i responded and have never heard from them since july
I think it must have been a last ditch attempt from Red Satan following
my NoCA.     ( 4 debt collectors .1 solicitors ) all gone .

The CEO of Opus is Scott Craig :Dawson

This lot are a push over.

If you want a copy of my C&D notice ,PM me. In the mean time a quick letter
informing them all communication must be via RM .

Thats good, They have not answered anything in your notice.
That i think is the reason why the old 3 letters are no longer much use ,because
they respond with a lot of obfuscation, and folks just accepted it.

Send notice 2 headed; NOTICE-OF-NON-RESPONSE-AND-OPPORTUNITY-TO-CURE

Every question in your original notice is very relavant and must be addressed

Yes thats the one

I would just change the 'failure to respond' with failure to address all points
in my notice.

Ok, head it NOTICE-OF-FAILURE-TO -COMPLY
In the body of the notice just change where approprate to failure to address
point by point as required.

Pete012 wrote:I am getting phone calls from Lowell (the DC), but as yet I have not answered or talked to them.
How can I stop them calling me?....Any ideas?

PS...I dont have a mobile phone--only a landline, and the landline is an old one with no blocking methods etc.

I believe you can ask BT ( not sure about other networks) to block their numbers at the Phone exchange they did it for me last year when my X was being a Karen

They have a duty of care I was told, let them know and tell them you will leave if they don't help, it worked for me,

Good luck
