Apologies, I am looking at your post via my phone, and the letters are blurred for some reason. How much is the alleged debt for? Please do not state the EXACT amount, just round up to the nearest £100. Why? Even stating the exact amount could lead to a troll (DCA etc trolling this site) knowing who you are.

In the meantime, make sure you check out this link (and the links within it), read it AND fully understand it:

https://goodf.forumotion.com/t5263-the-new-goodf-approach-please-read-this-first

This link includes a section about anonymising your details eg when uploading copies of letters. VERY important as per the reason above. See the PERSONAL INFORMATION and related section.

So if you haven’t ‘ticked all the boxes’ as per that section, I strongly recommend you remove your uploaded letters and instead obfuscate (mask) the relevant details in the letters prior to uploading again.

As per Mr Blue, pay attention to the links at the bottom of that thread
The notices do work ,but ensure you comprehend the process. As far as i
am aware no one has reported here that they have not worked for them.

Any questions just ask.

Hi Pete012,
Its your choice of course but the old three letter process ended up with
little in the way of success, due to people just copy / paste a template.
They just accepted whatever they were sent, which were very often not
what they asked for and as a result the 'creditors' continued because it was
clear they had no knowledge.

I now use the Notice of Conditional Acceptance method ,its worked every
time for me not only for alleged debts but many other things as well.
Read the link Mr Blue posted .Then the one for 'debt purchasers' in the debt
section.
Please follow and comprehend all the links provided and all will become clear.

The link I provided is the new process with the new notices (NoCA) that DI created.

Although to be fair, you need to decide is it worth having a bad credit rating for 5/6 years just for a £200 sum…?

I wrote off approx £20,000 (severals loans) . So it was worthwhile having a poor credit rating for 5/6 years.

And as per the process, hold on to documents such as the default notice for many years to come (to cover the statute barred period and ideally long after).

Personally, I am reluctant to critique older versions or variations on the NoCAs etc that now reside in our new section. You potentially open yourself up to all sorts of risk.

Why would you want to consider an older version…? What is your objective?

Hi Pete,
Personally i would use the new ones as they do not cause controversy
(therefore no cause of action) they also get right to heart of the matter.
They are working because the questions asked are valid and if there is
no deception occuring they would have no problem answering, after all
you are offering to settle .

The one you have is basicly the old 3 letter process which lost its effect
due to people just accepting whatever was sent and not what they asked
for.

Hi Pete,
Not silly questions, Was it for goods received or just a loan, if for goods
we may have to take a different route.

Ok Pete , As its for goods received you should have honoured the contract.
However as its been sold off i think we can approach it in another way.

I have come up with this for starters ,if you want to try it and see what
response we get back.

I have received from you a letter claiming I owe a debt to your corporation.

You are claiming that you purchased an alleged debt from Studio Retail Ltd.

Take notice this is not a refusal to settle any obligation i may have ,it is a request
for information via a Data Subject Access Request.
I require from you any and all information you hold or have access to regarding
my personal data.

Additionally i require from you ;

1. A certified copy of any agreement between myself and Studio retail Ltd
Said copy must be accompanied with the name of whoever lays claim to
its authenticity .A photo copy is not acceptable.

2. Do you hold the original signed agreement ?

3. I require a signed statement from Studio Retail Ltd stating that no insurance
claim has been made in respect to this alleged account

4. As you claim to have 'bought' the alleged debt ,please confirm that as such the
original agreement is therefore either (a) A promissory note (b) A Bill of
Exchange (c) Negotiable Instrument (d) Security.

5. I will require a copy of any Deed of Assignment ( i will accept a redacted copy
with any redactions being limited to any third party who is not in anyway
connected with this matter. I am sure you are aware of the Lord Denning
Judgement regarding DoS so there is no need for me to quote it at this stage.

6. Please confirm that should you prove to my complete satisfaction that i do
owe a debt to you ,you will in exchange for full settlement return said Original
Agreement to me in original condition free from any endorsements or markings
in order that I may cancel it.

I would send this first and see what they come back with, then we can base
notices on that.
Given the amount ,they wont want to spend much chasing this.

with regards to the finish of the letter. thats all fine , i now always
write my signature with the words 'all rights reserved' just below it and
ensure my sig goes over some of it.

also do not send to that PO box ,their address should be on the top or
bottom of their letter. dont forget RM signed for.

See what they come back with Pete, You require they answer all points.
As its only a small amount they are very unlikely to persue very far, remember
with them its only about the money . Its obviously just part of a bundle
they bought and probably paid no more than £20 for yours ,so whatever
they do is going to rapidly eat into approx the £200 they stand to make.
