Dear Thee-Ving B'strds

Please pay this invoice for the holding charge of SSE meters at £??/day for dates from ??/??/?? to ??/??/??. Total comes to £??

Yours Extremely Hard Done To.....

remember invoice is a reminder to pay, a bill is a demand for payment.

how much do you reckon i should charge them? and send it by post this time? and do i need to send one out each week?

its arbitrary, but what about £50? its up to you.

let it build up a few weeks, makes notes of dates & then bill, & keep doing it every say 2 months?

SSE called on wednesday about my complaint and invoice about getting elec smart meter out, she said shes escalating it further but doesn't think it will happen but is calling back today with decision, any other tips would be grateful for what else i could say when she rings. she did say that eventually it will be on smart meter because of the tariffs?

on 1 hand if escalated then that has to be good as at least it sounds they are taking notice of you.

Its mainly up to you to force the meter out:

"Smart meters will be rolled out as standard across the country by the end of 2020. But there is no legal obligation on you to have one." The only obligation is to set off the public debt to the amount specified on your statement.
Emphasize & state 'Get these meters out, I have NO obligation to accept these, its my house take YOUR equipment out!'

not sure what is meant 'she did say that eventually it will be on smart meter because of the tariffs'

The only other alternative is to pay to have your own put in & it ain't cheap! There's nothing to add as far I can see.

There will be no eventually as this house will never have any smart meter fitted and the law can do what they like as their statutory law cannot over rule my inalienable rights.

Did you send the NoCA ?
Please remember you were advised that all communications should be via
Royal Mail, (add that to you second Notice)

The Notice (its not a letter) requires a response from the CEO, not some
minion on the phone.
They are using the usual trick of turning your Notice into a complaint,
which therefore causes controversy where non previously existed.
You should now send the NoCA again and head it :
Notice of Conditional Acceptance and Notice of Non-Response and Opportunity
to Cure.

tiffy please read the section for DPs on this site off the front web page, it will give you an idea of how to write a NoCA & what is to be included you will have to decide based on your situation. Please remember we can't do this for you. 1ce you have an idea everything will fall into place.

Smart Meter Removal - Page 3 Empty Re: Smart Meter Removal

Post by tiffy Mon Mar 14, 2022 2:38 pm

hi, please, just a yay or nay. this is what i have wrote before posting:
Dear Sir
Notice of Conditional Acceptance. Notice of Non-Response and Opportunity to cure.
I have made numerous complaints which all have been ignored. I have been on the phone to SSE and have either been on hold or cut off the phone line after around 3 hours. SSE had informed me a smart meter was installed for my electricity. I DID NOT CONSENT to the electric to be put on a smart meter I said I was happy as I was on an analogue meter with quarterly meter readings paid by paper billing. I had no idea a smart meter was going to be put in for the electric, i wasn't told. I didn't ask for it and i do not want it.
I had someone call me last Wednesday (9th) who said they would call again on Friday (11th) regarding getting the smart meter for the electric removed. She didn't have the decency to call back.
Since the Smart Meters have been installed my son and myself have had constant migraines and lack of sleep.
You have your property on my property and i want it removing. Should this matter not be resolved i will have an electrician take the smart meter out and i shall replace it with my own.

Post by LionsShare Mon Mar 14, 2022 3:06 pm

its good you are staring to help yourself, the ONLY main thing wrong you have written as this is your situation, is threatening to take out the meter(s) that are smart, don't do that because its inviting controversy, where there is controversy there is a judicial matter. Better off keep quiet about having your own in & just do it & cancel your contract. If thier meters are still in & you have NOT cancelled THEY are still I think entitled to charge even though the contract is cancelled. If thier meters are still in THEY are still I think entitled to charge even though the contract is cancelled.

Remember your troubles will not be over as you will going down the same road as those who discharge by endorsement, ie facing courts & the whole lying corrupt system that is the courts. More on that later if you want?

THEY will keep you on this merry go round until you give in but don't, we've all been stuffed - me too - & its time it stopped.

Otherwise Yay

LS

tiffy as I have stated earlier its your situation & you must put in what you feel is appropriate. As DI has stated its not a NoCA, a NoCA is better structured in a way which is offering something based on your T&C's. Modify this to suit....

Dear...

I offer to settle ? based on the following terms which must be met in full & in substance.

1. .....
2. .....
3. ..... etc

yours....

I know this is over simplified again, but as stated we cannot sort this for you, only help as far as.....

NOTICE-OF-CONDITIONAL-ACCEPTANCE.

Dear..... in his/her private capacity.

I offer to accept your smart meters at my address provided that the following is answered in full & in substance (being backed up with verifiable evidence). Otherwise its agreed if these terms are not met 100% the smart meters forthwith must be removed without delay.

1. Provide proof beyond all doubt smart will meters will NOT cause harm to me or any other living creature near or in my property.
2. Provide proof in legislation smart meters are obligatory.
3. Provide proof the said smart meters have been agreed to.
4. .....
5. .....

The reply must be answered by someone who is competent in such matters & who takes full responsibility under penulty of pergery & unlimited full commercial liability, being required if called upon to stand in a court of law to press the record. You have ? days to reply.

Yours....

Never get into a fighting or slanging match with them it only invites controversy & remember you don't want that. Tiffy please read the section on NoCA here for a good idea of what to write. I don't think I can really offer much more ATM. You have several suggestions its up to you. The list in the above example is not exhaustive so feel free to add or delete as you see fit. The idea is to ask plausable questions you know THEY can never answer. Tiffy WINS! Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy
