Following something interesting for the last few days and it is now being reported across many platforms and the real truths are emerging.

This allegedly began at South Mims Services at the electric car charging points where it was claimed that on Christmas day 26 Tesla cars were waiting to charge and some were waiting over 6 hours just to get on a charger so they could get enough charge in their batteries to run to family and friends for christmas dinner, so no christmas dinner for many of them then.

This story mushroomed across many platforms and in many areas of the country where someone else posted a picture of 40 electric cars in christmas day queing to get onto a charger and as he openly admits, there were more than 40 cars as they went around the corner and he couldn't see the total number or photograph them.
Somewhere in the South West another guy posted another picture of 26 cars waiting to get onto a charger and said he has seen the same cars waiting nicely for over 3 hours and as one car got onto a charger another 6 cars joined the que to charge up.

Many people took to anti social media to vent their anger and many wer similar and one guy said he and his family were in a que and had been for over 4 hours and missed their Christmas dinner and there were many more the same.

Let me pose a simple question; how many christmas dinners were ruined by these electric cars? answers on a turkey drumstick.

They keep calling my large gas guzzling diesel powered 4X4 and next christmas day I might go to a local charging point with a full tank of diesel (135 ltres + 15 litres reserve) and 2 X 20 litre jerry cans of diesel in the back and shout "you aint calling diesel cars now are you, I wont miss my christmas dinner and I have spare cans of diesel in the back and you cannot carry 20 litre steel drums of electricity can you" and stick two fingers up to them.

The benefits of electric cars eh.

Yes but they have the smug satisfaction that they are saving the planet

But are they? actual figures show that electric cars cost more in money and CO2 than diesel cars so are they better?

Can you reconcile yourself to the fact slave and child labour is used in the Congo to mine and process the cobalt and as they have no health and safety the lifespan of workers is around 7-8 years and not only are you using child and slave labour but you are killing people just for your car.

Then again we have the lithium which is also mined and is planet unfriendly to mine and process and produced masses of CO2, much more just to produce a battery than the life of a diesel engined car which lasts over 300,000 miles where as the toxic and planet unfriendly batteries have limited lives and you have to produce more of them, so hardly planet friendly.

Latest research published in December 2022 used the accepted official figures and the best vehicles for the planet were diesels followed by petrols bought at over 5 years old and run into the ground and scrapped. They also showed that when you totalled the emissions up the battery cars in the best case scenario would only extend the life of the planet by 5 months.

They aren't so smug when you tell them they are murderers.
