This is nothing more than control and it is a way of turning people against people and using a form of peer pressure so the populace turn on themselves as it costs very little to do, and they get the benefit.

Think about it, how many people use bling as a form of peer pressure such as kids whose parents cannot afford to buy them designer trainers, or those parents who refuse to buy their children the "in vogue" designer trainers; and other children with the designer trainers attack those without them.

Or, those who can afford to buy a Ford or Vauxhall car, but instead of buying these vehicles which they can afford they buy an Audi or BMW, or even a Mercedes and get themselves into debt to do so.

nitpick - sociable grooming , removing the nits .? Smile

some people do it to a larger degree which becomes irritating , sometimes people forget to give a margin of error and may pick a scab that was too fresh.
some are almost ocd about it like they can be fastidious about anything.
some people physically react when being driven ,when they feel they would put the breaks on but the driver is slower to do so or reacts differently . The fear of the obvious mistake that could lead to death!
i try not to give to much energy until i know there is a crash or i have no more nits than you do! Razz

The problem with the subjective experience,
is that in absorbing information from another.
you automatically absorb the others identity as well.

For some people,
the first task after absorbing any information is to scrub the others identity from it,
and the quick lazy way to do that is to reject all of it.

It's like talking to somebody who always starts their response with the words
"NO" or
"Yeah, BUT".
They have effectively rejected whatever you said regardless of truth content.

That's my mom. She always finds something she would like to fix in me. Sometimes I try to explain why she doesn't have to do that, sometimes just sigh. When it comes to other people, I assume the most painless way is to stay clear of such personalities.
