ive just been trying a new gadget ,automatic window opener ! It works v well on my small plastic greenhouse. It has kept the temp between 30 and 35 where it would have been 50+ without. I no longer have to open it up first thing or close it at night .
got mine off fleebay for about £15.
They work with thermal expansion of a small piston , as it expands and contracts it opens and closes the vent . i have mine on the roof section and tied a wire from the piston down to the bottom of the greenhouse plastic so when the window opens it also pulls up the bottom plastic to create a through draft.

I just sliced the hole and measured a batton to fit across to support the thing

the elastic band makes sure the plastic returns all the way at night

its a botch job but works great , i might make a better job of it for my main greenhouse on the allotment:)

its on decking and tent pegs knocked into the wood where possible, it right up against the fence so half protected too.

ive fixed some magnetic fridge door strips around the window plastic so it makes a better seal when closed. Basketball

Have you tried putting it directly onto the soil ALAB/Lopsum, by doing this you can use the ground as a thermal mass as the ground heats up during the sunny periods and releases the heat back into the greenhouse after it goes cold.

Tie it down using steel screw anchors which you can buy or make yourself.

I use recycled parts to make them, I get the 1/2" round bar from old gates or similar and heat one end and form an eye onto it, I make the screw by using offcuts of 3mm plate and using a 2 1/2" hole cutter and cut a circle or several from the sheet steel, I open the pilot hole out from 6mm diameter to 14mm or 16mm and cut from the pilot hole to the outside using a slitting disc.

Take the left hand side of the slit and put an adjustable spanner onto it, do the same on the right hand side, push the left hand spanner away from you while pulling the right hand spanner towards you, this gives the screw portion, slide this over the bar at or near its lower edge and weld on, weld the eye closed and paint.

Place it into position near the object you wish to secure and screw into the ground using a small bar through the formed eye if needed. Connect them by using paracord tied to one anchor, run it over the ojject you wish to secure and tie securely to another ground anchor.

a smaller one we had suffered the same fate in the winds last year but it wasnt anchored and kind of forgotten about. I doubt ill be using it over winter so i can take it down , it doesnt store heat well at all at night it only stays a few above outside so wont be much use . The one on the allotment is a similar thing but the walk in size and its going to be dug in so the bottom few inches are below ground level and an extra deep bit in the middle so i can stand without touching the roof. Its alot more exposed there these glorified tents wouldn't last 5 mins without some effort making it stronger.

50 mph winds today and it remained in place , the shelves inside were shaken off though so we've had some casualty's .Super gluing the poles of the frame together would have prevented this .
