Help for new members

I have just had another look on the old site ,and new folk are turning up there looking for help & its now clear that the template letters have been permanently withdrawn.
Not surprising as its not in the new owners interest for people to "Get out of debt free".
These people are looking for help and are posting requests for the letters and no one inc.mods are responding to them.

Whilst we have the letters here ,we only at present have the ones for Debt Collectors .
I have the 3 letters for the O.C. on file dating from 2015 (dont know if these are the latest) unfortunately i do not know how to send files etc.
Its my belief that we should do what we can to help these people & redirect them here ,because its clearly only a matter of time now before GOODF disappears .
I know from personal experience many years ago what its like going without sleep and worrying about debt ,and in those days there was no help .

You could use https://www.sendspace.com/ to host/transfer the files to lopsum

yes members can attach files but if it is more than 1000kb(1mb) let me know and i can put up the max size temporarily.

my copy of the site didnt actually grab those sections, just the main forum . That too has parts it didnt get , was browsing it yesterday. I over constrained the program , its quite complex. But if u dont constrain it trys to copy the whole internet Razz

i dont suppose you got the estoppel and bill for banks or know if its any different to the standard bill estoppel??

Hi again all, I am a newbie and I've got a couple of questions, sorry for pecking your heads in advance but I'm seeking further enlightenment. These questions are relevant to my particular situation but if you shine any light on any of this for me it would be very helpful.

If the alleged debts were taken on quite recently and no actual paper agreement was signed, I believe I just checked a box on a computer screen, then would a print off of that agreement not be sufficient as a valid agreement? I was recently asked by somebody in here who is helping me and they asked if the debts were pre or post 2007, what is the relevance of this please? And would it make points 3 and 4 from the first letter null and void?

What does confuse me more than anything is if the banks and credit card companies have now been rumbled about their unenforceable agreements why have they not taken steps to get around it? I would have thought they would have the very best legal people creating solutions to protect them.

I'm unable to find answers to these questions despite searching 100's of forums

Any help greatly appreciated.

i think the steps they would have to take would include changing the whole system, by making contracts signed by 2 or more partys with FULL DISCLOSURE, admitting that they are not actually lending you anything but "helping" you make your own credit, then the cat would be totally out of the bag .
They are still making billions and will take while they can.
They are asset stripping the people, turning less than nothing into (our) property.

Hi Bimmer,

they become S.B. six years after date of default notice .unless of course you have made any payments after that date.

Interesting that Tiggy was pointing someone to a Debt relief Order.

I caught him/ her the other day recommending a Consolidation Loan !!!

I check the site everyday now and have been sending PM's to people telling them to come here, and giving the 3 letter link anyway.
If the Mods are not reading peoples PM's it will look like people are giving up and going away.
One of the Mods has posted the 3 letters as a sticky though.
It's all very shaky over there.

it was tiggy who pinned the text versions , he was online after i posted it so i presume it was him.
they would need to disclose that pms were not private if they were looking at them, doesnt mean its not possible but could lead to big trouble if they got found out and sued.
