More Brexit Fearmongering

Its been an interesting day listening to the latest Brexit predictions of doom and gloom and today the latest fear porn (bullsh*t by any other name) is that we are going to be short of lettuce and tomatoes, but isnt this by the very design of the EU itself where they used (and still do) to shut off many countries industries and ship them abroad so no member state can stand alone and they are reliant upon other member states to exist, and why they operate a closed shop by controlling all trade agreements so cheaper producing countries have huge levies on their imports.

Back to tomatoes and lettuce:

We can look at the worlds largest producers of tomatoes who are;

1)China
2) India
3) USA
4) Turkey
5) Egypt
6) Italy
7) Iran
Spain
9) Brazil
10) Mexico

If we look at lettuce then we have

1) China
2) USA
3) India
4) Spain
5) Italy

So the obvious question is why we would be short of tomatoes and lettuce when we can shop with the world and get then free of the 20% plus tariffs the EU imposes upon them and puts directly into their coffers (back pockets) when we can deal with any of these other countries; when we leave the EU we can get all this and much more produce much cheaper and we can strike deals with so many players in the game as any large market for their produce will be very viable for them and choice for us. If a country such as South Africa can pick, pack, and load their produce onto a plane and fly it across to the UK within 24 hours of picking and do it cheaper than Spain or Italy then other countries can do the same, so a little reading shows their claims as pure rubbish. So, we can conclude that this is simply another scare story with no validity and one perpetuated throughout the media to attempt to scare us and nothing more.

We could be a little more radical and with our farming savings to the EU we could invest this back into UK farming and reinstate the industry of farming tomatoes and lettuce which were taken away from us by European policies which led to their downfall as the more we produce for ourselves, the less we import and we put UK people back into work over those of other EU countries and take back our farming industries lost to these protectionist EU idiots.

It gets better, tonight I got a call from my neighbour and I went with him and used his tractor, his radio was on and what I heard nearly made me crash, paughing at what I heard.

It was claimed that in a survey done by god knows who, that the British public were suffering depression in 60% of adults because of Brexit; really?
