Thanks waffle and Dave, my wife has a tax demand and they sent her a blank cheque, never tried this before, will give it a go and report back.....thought it was a good time to just accept for value as we have exemption and there is no money so discharge it is... Very Happy

I think that if you try to write off any debts owed to the income tax brigade, your pleas will fall on deaf ears. For what it's worth, I believe that the only way to deal with these persons, it's to go the way as a human being man/woman and claim your human rights. Ask them where it says that they can breach your human rights and took takes liability for this? Better to go to and fro between you both this way, because it's something that can only do you and everyone else good. As you rightly say, there is no money...so, why waste yours and their time by going round the house just so they can give you a simple response?

Sorry, I missed something in my response. It's regarding the Bank Giro Credit Slip...it quite simply doesn't work, well not as we're being told to do it. I've done it precisely as explained and have fobbed off the company involved for a couple of years, but that's all, they have not accepted the BGCS as a means of settlement. Perhaps the intention was to have these companies wait indefinitely and then to just go away...not a cat in hell's chance! There is only one way to deal with all of these companies and it is not this way, sorry.

Hi Landlubber.

I was thinking of writing a letter clarifying my standing here as a living man, they have sent us an assessment notice, so I guess its not actually a bill so was going to ask if this is addressed to me the living man or a legal fiction, also to please define their term "notice" i.e. is this a debt owed by me the man?

I think ultimately they will push on and ignore as per usual, however I thought that if I discharge using the credit slip via A4V then in commerce I will at least be in honour.

What other way would you deal with this?

Hi Quantum3d, Your first paragraph has it all. You are declaring yourself as a human being a man, however, if once this is responded to and they still beat about the bushes so to speak, then you need to ask, who takes liability of breaching your human rights? Makes sure that all correspondence is sent by recorded delivery and keep copies of it for your records.

Ive been reading some really interesting posts over a few threads. On the basis of whats been said I believe that we now have a couple of powerful avenues we can work with to at try and establish ourselves as to who we are. Landlubber speaks of one....

Once we all realise that everything is land and property law then we should know one avenue we can use to establish some type of position. Your charged tax because your using "their" property and if your using property then you should also be doing equity otherwise you'll be in the land of the dead and its unlikely your voice will be heard.

The debt their claiming your wife owes is called a chose in action, it falls under the brackets of personalty property, if its through self employment then she'll have a UTR number thats a trust account number, every tax paying trust has one, if she has one of those she is also a deposit taker and is eligible to apply for the setoff or offset (their two different things). But they won't talk to you if you don't know what your doing in there....

If she hasn't filed a SA and their sending it on a hunch there is a slim possibility A4V might work. I would also suggest if you are going down that route then you could offer them some consideration as well in the form of a prom note. There has recently been little success with these methods but your well within your rights to try it.

Just to add to landlubbers last post, if you are sending mail and are working towards equity then sending it special deliver keeps it in the private.
