After the events of last night they now are openly talking about controlling extremism on the internet....

if you don't already know, the ministry of defense acquired its name in 1964, the department "took over" the War Office. Historically the war office found it increasingly difficult to gain public support for its agendas simply due to being the aggressor, it is predominantly not human nature to support the aggressor, so they decided to change the name to the MoD. The public are far more supportive for agendas being pushed for defense reasons, mostly now all they need is a good reason to get the public to support defensive agendas, those reasons are very easy to create for an organisation that is unknowingly technologically adapt and advanced, usually they don't wast their opportunities and direct multiple agendas from the same cause.

Strangely in the run up to the US election there were a similar amount of terror attacks, maybe someone else has a better moemory in regards to that than I, this the the 3rd in recent months.....

Seriously though, same as all the other acts it's referring only to the 'person'. Anyone who pays heed to 'know thyself' has a head start in dealing with such matters.

Sub.sec. 2a) is interesting though as it marks a distinction between a 'chief constable' and a 'chief officer of police'. Two authorities operating side by side? i think so. A common-law constable needs a chief constable, a (commercial) officer needs a chief officer. As it mentions a chief officer rather than a chief constable i think it safe to say this is another commercial matter and not a 'crime'.

Any thoughts on that anyone?

I really think we have been in "1984" for well over a decade, this will only get worse not better until the "control" ability is taken away from those parasites. To a point VPN(s) are a temporary way to get around it, but again its only a matter of time before I suppose some sort of leiglation comes in & bans encryption altogether or there will be no encrypted traffic in/out of the UK or whose knows what crap they will try to use perverting our rights?
