We should also be conscious of how we cook foods especially those as valuable as dandelion. If you cook greens above 42º it destroys the enzymes that help your body process them. Its all down hill from their, proteins are damaged, vitamins dissembled (especially vit C), in fact its difficult for your body to even recognise the food after its been baked in an oven or boiled to death. I think of it as.. How would I look after spending 2 hours in the oven, or after being boiled for 30 minutes... Would anyone I know recognise me? This is one of the reasons raw food is becoming so popular, it is mostly about nutrient retention. Depending on the plant and where it has been picked it is recommended to steep (cook slowly on a low temperature so the water doesn't boil or simmer) to retain the nutrients, but soften the food for digestion. If you want you can also drink the water, as this is where a lot of nutrition is leeched. Raw would be preferable for optimal nutrition and health, however, not always possible. If you want the most benefits from your dandelions eat them raw, you can eat the root, leaves and flower raw... A whole food for preventing disease.

Waffle, you could do what I often do which is to pick something fresh and eat it straight away, my favourites are carrots and potatoes, and yes you can eat them raw.

Glad to hear I'm not the only one doing this, today I was eating freshly picked wild and raw, garlic, dandelion flowers, hawthorne leaves and the young leaves of bramble.

I'll have big long ears and a fluffy white tale before we know it Laughing

On a serious note, I have just started doing this more often, we need to control our own food and water supplies. This is their first step to controlling a country and should be our first step to freedom. We are led to believe we need them for food and water, food grows in our lawns FFS and we're taught it a weed.... "you should poison them with chemicals, they are unsightly"

I have had a strict diet for years now, its only the last year or so I have been able to eat very intuitively. Often your body tells you what you need, I am developing an urge to eat raw natural plants that are growing around me, may sound strange to some but to those it doesn't really try and home in on this, eating intuitively, its an instinct we all lost over time.

It sounds like you may have re-found this instinct Assassin.....

Yes we are fortunate to have that here, it can be difficult when going through all these change in isolation. Its great to be able to share and discuss all this with the community here.

Its surprising what you can find if you know where to look, and ignore the constant indoctrination, we have blackberries, raspberries, elder, dandelions, and many more edible things if people bother with wild food, and usually within a few minutes walk from their home.

What was that old saying? nature will provide, and it does.
