F.O.I. Requests & collation

As we clearly now have a growing membership which must cover the whole country.What i would like to propose is that we collectively send foi requests on current issues or points of interest raised on the site .
For instance we could individually do our own local area,or collectively target one national issue .
The results could be collated here ,especially how for example different councils respond to the same request.
Or if for example a government dept received requests from all over the country asking the questions ,would they then be so reluctant to refuse to answer ? For the price of a stamp we could get some very interesting results.

Good idea, but the question I would say to you, is who should we be writing as? What is our status? The strawman/legal person/trustee, beneficiary/settlor/executor, authorised representative?

its a good idea dave, get some ideas for questions that are applicable everywhere .
what is the process of sending an FOI , thats a good place to start. Can it be done online etc.

Hi bimmer , it does not matter who we request as. we are requesting facts .

lopsum ,yes i forgot to put it can be done by email,Its just that anything official i prefer a hard copy through the mail.
On the old site ceylon had problems with foi requests to Nottingham council (they claimed that due to the amount of requests he has made they deemed them vexatious)
They are a piece of cake to do ,you just write "under the Freedom of Information act 2000 I require " and you just ask for the info you want.

For example a couple of years ago i did a foi request to my local council regarding liability orders ; the cost of producing a liability order ,how many they sent etc from memory i think they were making over 1/2 million a year on liability orders alone.
If we were to work together the problems ceylon would be overcome ,as other members could then ask the questions.

The link i put shows one very good question to ask is How many council employees earn over 100k pm.
Just phrase you question very specificly as they try to obfuscate as much as possible.

So if they presume you are an incompetent fool with certain responsibilities (which they do in court, so I see why they won't), that's ok?

1000's of people protesting for this and that, gets anywhere? Not really. Maybe because they don't recognise us as men and women.

When they say, you are being vexatious, I agree with them.

Person's / Trustee's have no right to question the law, they simply abide by it.

it is a simple request for information from a public body .Its called THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT.
the clue is in the name.

again bimmer do you have identity issues? Are you not sure what you are? That is one pitfall of the legal rabbithole , all the words we learned to describe ourselves have meanings to us , in legalese they mean something else . I do not speak legalese nor do i think it or write it, usually. As i said before this is their delusion not ours.(hopefuly not yours too)

i suggest you should be concerned with neither , until one tries to force you to be what they pretend.Then the paper and word becomes undeniably pointless anyway.
