School Strikes

Its been in the news that schoolchildren are going on strike for one day a week following the example of a Swedish girl who has been on strike every friday over climate change, but I cannot support this for many reasons.

She is claiming that Europe have done nothing to tackle climate change and many teachers unions are supporting children going on strike and making proclomations that its good for students to think for themselves and make informed decisions, but is all there is to it? actually no as it appears to be more indoctrination for several reasons so lets begin with the claim.

Europe are doing nothing? isn't every European country a party to Kyoto, and hasn't Kyoto introduced changes to emissions levels for many years, and hasn't the UK introduced emissions charges on vehicles and cut large polluting industries, so already they are being indoctrinated like little sheep into following a clear and deliberate lie right from the outset.

Is it the same head teachers association who activaly encourages head teachers to report parents if their little darlings miss a day of school and fill their heads with drivel about having a day off is a day which cannot be recovered and promoting the message that having a week off is equivalent to pestulance and the black death rolled into one, and then openly having them issued with fines if they have a day off school because a flight was delayed, thus condemning parents for their children being off school on the one hand, and condoning children going on strike, some serious double standards here, hypocrits.

Is it the same children whose parents take them to school in the car instead of making them walk when they are within walking distances of their school, packing their lunchboxes with food along with plastic wrapped snacks of both the healthy type and crisps, and giving them cans of pop or plastic bottles of water?

What is their agenda?
