OK so you still have an account with PayPal? And they haven't sold the alleged debt on yet?

And to be clear, you’ve sent the 3 letters for original creditors?

How much is the alleged debt for? Don’t say the exact figure, just round up to the nearest £1K Smile

No problem, happy to help!

I would send the third letter again - ie it becomes letter 4 in effect. They will get bored of this soon enough and sell on the debt or arrange for a DCA (debt collection agency) to try and collect the debt on their behalf, you’ll see Wink

Make sure you keep on top of the SAR too. They must supply all of the personal data they hold on you within 30 days. Have they done that?

You mean they replied to none of your 3 letters? Are you sure you have the correct address for PayPal?

Are you sure this is PayPal? Bottom of your letter shows Bank of Scotland.

Anyway, I have found the following UK address:

PayPal (UK) Ltd
Whittaker House
2 Whittaker Avenue
Richmond
TW9 1EH

https://www.headofficefinder.co.uk/paypal-uk/

Start the process again ie letter 1. Make sure you use the Royal Mail signed for service (£2.06). Never reply to emails or calls!

ALSO: put the SAR on hold ie do not send this yet. We’ll wait until they sell on... (There is a reason you shouldn’t send the SAR until they sell on...)

Mrblue, about the bottom of the letter: bank of Scotland; i have got 2 forums on here about the same 3 letter process, so i think this forum will be from the bank? How can i move this over to me other forum? Or should we just leave it here?
I will start the 3 letters again to the richmond address.
Thanks so much.

I will delete the photos you uploaded to this thread. I have also added ‘PayPal’ to the title to avoid future confusion for all Wink

If the amount owed really is what it says on that form (£179) then, imo, going through the GOODF process (which takes 6 years if you take into consideration awaiting Statute Barred) is not worth the effort.

If you owe 1000s, then that's different.

Are you really trying to avoid paying £179? No offence of course Smile

Happy rising mrblue. Thats what i owe on interest, because i haven't paid the £1.700 loan. I wish it was £179.
Thanks so much.

If you do not wish to pay the £1,700, then just go through the three letter process for banks again - with the UK address.
