Joint Giro, Somehting To Think About On Payments
https://www.chequeandcredit.co.uk/cheque-clearers/other-clearings/credit-clearing-and-bank-giro-credits
the bit: 'It is the responsibility of the Post Office to get the joint giro and the cash value and/or cheque to their sponsoring bank, which in turn will put the transaction into the clearings.'
on the face of it, there quite clearly stated about getting things sorted for clearing, but was just wondering if that's all? Could it just be that in collecting the additional cash or cheque does the Post Office profit somehow?
Think of it like this: 'It is the responsibility of the Post Office to get the cash value and/or cheque to their sponsoring bank.' Just a thought

Re: Joint Giro, Somehting To Think About On Payments
well i am lead to believe that the post office runs everything, all military all commerce etc in conjunction with the vatican and co, its not by coincidence the military get posted to an outpost etc, they usually have postage stamps on the bombs they drop how strange is that. all registrations licences etc are from the vatican with the postage stamp numbers as the serial numbers look on your driving licence/birth cert/wedding cert etc all those numbers if you log on to the treasury web site all those numbers are there and have matured ready for cashing, its so shocking whats going on really.

Re: Joint Giro, Somehting To Think About On Payments
I recently tried what I stated about getting tear off slips accepted at the post office without extra cash or cheque.
My experience:
I suppose most would want me to say 'it works!', but sadly NO. It turns out some time back tear off slips would only be accepted at the counter up to a limit of £1000 & then they expect additional cash or cheque. Now it all goes through pay point & only accepted with extra cash or cheque.
I am the bearer of sad news but we are getting done over for something we are NOT liable for, those that control the system are turning the screws ever tighter.

This is what I do -YES - endorse away, remembering to note what info is on that slip & so long as the correct info is there then....Sharpysparky wrote:So we cant endorse anymore then?
Probably yes because at the mo' there is no way of knowing if they get discharge.Sharpysparky wrote:Looks like the water co might be getting paid then?
Good question, the 'bill' will not have your signature on at the bottom so its questionable if its 'your bill'. You are being sent the bill because they will have to act as Mr., Mrs. etc & will need a certain power of attorney. So if simply sign & date that cheque sent to you, then have permission to act but they are obviously acting corruptly.Sharpysparky wrote:Is the bill the water co’s sending a true bill?
