NHS Data Opt Out Empty NHS Data Opt Out

Post by assassin Tue Jun 01, 2021 4:20 am

Are people aware that the NHS are planning to share your ALL YOUR PRIVATE data?

There is a new system going online in which every personal aspect of your health is to be shared; yet they have failed to inform people who will be able to access this information, and you have to opt out before June 23rd. This will include every aspect of your medical conditions to your mental health and will be of great value for them to class you in a tick box system; hence if the lice have access they could easily class you as mentally unstable and have you sectioned and this is one element and the rest are alarming.

If you wish to keep your medical data private then opt out NOW.

Thanks Assassin. Does this look like the correct link or did you have another in mind?

NHS Data Opt Out Empty Re: NHS Data Opt Out

Post by daveiron Tue Jun 01, 2021 8:13 am

I opted out several years ago, looks like i will have to do it again.
Although other than to set a broken bone or possiblly the dentist ,i have no intention
of using the national genocide service ever again. They have shown over recent
years (Liverpool care pathway) and elsewhere their true colours. Doctors have
shown a blatant disregard for the hipporcratic oath that Dr Mengele would be proud of.

Currently national data opt-outs will be considered on a case by case basis but may not apply during the emergency period due to the public interest and legal requirements in sharing certain data. For example, in the case of the Shielded Patients List, the opt-out was not applied due to the public interest in those patients receiving advice and support - we thought it was important that at-risk patients are protected.

NHS Data Opt Out Empty Re: NHS Data Opt Out

Post by Lopsum Tue Jun 01, 2021 11:57 am

careful, read the small print ! Its a new contract!!!
When there is overriding public interest

Your confidential patient information may still be used in an emergency or in situations where there is an overriding benefit to others. For example, to help manage contagious diseases and stop them spreading, like meningitis. In these situations, the safety of others is most important.
When information that can identify you is removed

Information about your health care or treatment may still be used in research and planning if the information that can identify you is removed first.
When there is a specific exclusion

Your choice does not apply to a small number of specific exclusions, including:

when information is given to the Office for National Statistics for official statistics, like the Population Census
the National Cancer Patient Experience Survey (CPES) and CQC NHS Patient Survey Programme
data shared with Public Health England for the National Cancer Registration Service, the National Congenital Anomalies and Rare Diseases Registration Service and the oversight of population screening programmes
when data is used to make sure people with learning disabilities and/or autism receive the best care possible when in hospital for mental health or challenging behaviour issues (also known as assuring transformation)
the Children and Young People’s Cancer Patient Experience Survey (for the first 2 years of its implementation. This temporary exemption will then be reviewed)

You may be able to make a separate decision on whether or not your information can be used by some of the other services listed.

NHS Data Opt Out Empty Re: NHS Data Opt Out

Post by Lopsum Tue Jun 01, 2021 12:00 pm

and there is no deadline, seems there has been some spreading and debunking of this message already on the nhs site

There have been posts on social media with false information about opting out of sharing your data with the NHS.

Here's what you need to know:

There is no 30 September deadline for opting out of sharing your data. You can opt out at any time.
NHS Digital will never sell your data.
There are strict rules about how NHS can use your data. It's only shared securely and safely.
Shared data helps the NHS. It has been used to find the first treatment for coronavirus and for vaccine research.

NHS Data Opt Out Empty Re: NHS Data Opt Out

If we do nothing, they change the terms and conditions. If we do 'Opt Out', what are we actually agreeing to? Would it be better to write to them saying we're content with the current terms and conditions as a 3rd option?
