Me, I tell them that I currently charge £300 per hour or part thereof for my service of providing personal information, and do they wish to contract for my services? Usually shuts them up quite sharpish.

Never yet had the need or opportunity, but if I had not committed a crime or 'offence', then yes I would and I would enjoy p*ssing them about knowing that there is nothing they could do. I do not have much respect for the ones up here in Scotland, neither does anyone else I know.

If I had committed an crime or 'offence' then 'I have the right to remain silent'
and I would, makes things extremely difficult for them.

The simplest method is to ask a question with a question. It can be a repeat of theirs or one of your own!

You will know if you have done a criminal act! Give it up to the constable on those times, but for a criminal act that THEY think or a civil act, well then they will not get it from me quickly and without a wordy battle!

Another thing to remind them of, police officers are just public servants in fancy dress, although they tend to go a bit crimson in the face when you tell them this...........try it sometime, it's quite good fun Very Happy

A while back I had a run in with santander over bank charges, the woman on the phone informed me before she would do anything about it she would need to know about my financial situation, to which I told her if I tell her about mine then I also want to know about hers Smile
