New 3 letter process - deed of assignment

Good morning all!

I have been a long time member of the GOODF community and as far back as late 2014. The old templates served me very well and to the previous moderators (maybe they are still here but under different aliases) I am forever grateful as, to date, I haven’t paid a penny back towards four debts totalling £18k.

The previous templates requested the deed of assignment. May I ask why this document is no longer requested and does that (with the upmost respect to your efforts!) devalue the new templates?

You could always do what I do and add it to the list of requested documents yourself. After all templates can be amended to suit. But I totally agree we should still ask for the deed of assignment

Extremely few if anyone, has been successful in getting the deed of assignment in all of my memory. The reason is you never get is because it reveals what the DC paid for the debt which it seems the rule of thumb, is between 5 and 10p in the pound.

The time to get it and the way to get it is when you know the case is going to court then you put in an application for it then under the relevant disclosure laws.

Perhaps you might like to read up on the doctrine of disclosure.

Its in the letters,just in another way . As ausk said they will not send one.

Take notice that I now require from you all of the information listed above along with
the Notice of assignment and Documents of Title, and a copy of the sale agreement.

You can if you wish just add ,'and deed' simple.

yes it is in there, in my opinion i would simply add at the end of 'and a copy of the sale agreement' executed as a deed.

i had one DCA going in circles for months over this and eventually got the deed of assignment in full, that was the end of their case as they had sold it within their own set up using a novation agreement, claim struck out.

also succeeded in getting a judge to order the dca to produce the DOA, never heard another thing and claim struck out.

Thanks for that waylander,I will add that to the letters. They were always meant to evolve & not be set in stone.

no worries

at the end of the day any assignment is a sale agreement between the OC and the debt purchaser and it is almost always executed as a deed.

hence the term deed of assignment
