speeding camera notice

Hi all
i received letter from police Notice of intention to prosecute, they had written my last name in capitals (?!?),
anyway its look like the camera has got me on M62 driving 59mph on temporary 50mph limit quarter past midnight :/
Unfortunately i opened it and i threw away the original envelope, have left now that one for reply to PO box.

Please if anyone know what should i do , they asking me to give th driver details... but i am traveler Very Happy

Does anyone know any working procedures whit this kind of crap , should i just send it back with letter saying no contract.. etc, ?

Help needed here

First off don't fill in the form ,write on a separate sheet of paper and tell them you are not sure who was driving at the time of the alleged offence and can they please supply you with the photos so that you can identify the driver as you do not want to give false information or accuse the wrong person as they would both have repercussions on you.

When you get the photos have a look and see if the driver can be identified if not tell them you cannot identify the driver can they send you a clearer image they normally give up at this stage if they threaten you then point out that they are trying to make you bear false witness and make a complaint.

Most familes and their friends, particuarly those who cannot provide accomodation for more than 1 or 2 vehciles, have an open door policy when it comes to using the car.

Unless you were in the car at the time you cannot be certain who was driving, you can never be certain that you nominated the right person. Even if somebody tells you they were driving. For all you know, they may be covering somebody else for a reason known only to them. Even familes have secrets from each other.

Therefore " even through I have made DETAILED enquires, and excerised DUE DILIGENCE while making those enquiries, I cannot, with any certainty, know who was driving the car at that time. Due to the heavy penalties for providing false and misleading information, I cannot lie on a Stat Declaration so I cannot risk making a statement that may, at some future point, turn out to be false,

its like a week since i received it, i am busy with family at this time of a year Smile

, thank you all for replays, will do like you saying,
even if i give in its fine as they will only give me speeding course , but the point is: why i need to pay them any money ..?..

Hi,

I have a postal speeding ticket from a variable-speed camera that doesn't seam to have the reference mark in the road or the lights that illuminate the area of the road that would highlight the mark if there were some..?

I was going to fill out the form and not sign it and use the point of exercising my legal right to not incriminate myself', though I then noticed this advice.
So if we send this letter attached to the original speeding, do we sign this letter or leave it blank..?
